Unfortunately, this prediction did not make my annual letter last year mainly because it was a half-baked theme in my head. However, now that the "Big Resignation" is on us, there is a massive market pull to empower employees. You cannot be a shi%%ty boss anymore. You need to pretend that you care about your employees' well-being and advancement.
I inherently believe today that these products are a market pull forward as a symptom of COVID. People's spending power will be contracted with inflation, rising interest rates, and no stimmy checks. This environment will ultimately, in my opinion, require people to go back to work, and the adoption of these HR tech companies might incur a big churn cycle.
