Last week I was listening to Howard Linzon's Panic with Friends Podcast. In the podcast, he made a sidebar comment about how important it is to have operators in one's network. This simple statement made me think deeper on the subject.
In the past, having deep relationships with investors showed how strong someone's network was. I believe the pendulum has swung to the other side. Investors are a dime a dozen now that the markets are entirely flushed with cash. The truth value is access to the knowledge and people who know how to increase enterprise value.
Because of this, I am on a mission to go deeper with my operator relationships. Last week I had the pleasure of reconnecting with Hamid Shohajee (Founder of GitKraken), Charles Layne (CEO OF PatientNow), and Justin Gray (Founder of LeadMD). These individuals are in different times of their businesses lifecycles from currently operating or about to start their next thing. Universally all of them believe that there is an abundance of opportunities to chase. We are still at the beginning.
Below is Hamid and me on his new Arcimoto ($FUV) Cruiser. Hamid wrote a great article on his Investment thesis on $FUV. Article here.
This is great, operators get no love!
